3:53 AM: Officer Soto responded to a report of a traffic hazard in the area of Thornton Ave and Ash Street. Upon arrival, a vehicle was located and occupied by an unresponsive subject. Officers made contact and safely removed the driver out the vehicle. Officers ultimately arrested the subject, a 28-year old male out of Hayward, for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
11:08 AM: Officer Jackman investigated a cold residential burglary in the 5000 block of Cambridge Court. Total loss is jewelry and cash.  Investigation is ongoing.
12:15 PM: Officer Kapu investigated a cold robbery in the 35000 block of Newark Boulevard. Loss is a necklace and investigation is ongoing.
8:49 PM: Officer Herrera responded to a report of an unwanted guest in the 3000 block of Newpark Mall Road. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 36 year old male for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

12:10 AM: Officer Soto responded to a report of a disturbance in the 6000 block of Broadway Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 29-year old male out of Newark and a 45-year old male out of Newark for battery on a person. Both were booked at Santa Rita Jail.
 4:07 AM: Officer Herrera responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 6000 block of Potrero Dr. Officers made contact and arrested a 29-year old male out of San Francisco for possession of a stolen vehicle and an outstanding warrant. Officers also made contact and arrested a 27-year old female out of Fremont for an outstanding warrant. Both were booked at Santa Rita Jail.
8:59 AM: Officer Jackman investigated a theft of a catalytic converter in the 5000 block of Scarborough Drive.
3:50 PM: Officer Pacheco investigated an overnight burglary in the 6000 block of Cedar Boulevard. Loss is unknown at this time. Investigation is ongoing
7:58 PM: Officer Swadener responded to a report of a subject brandishing a knife in the 100 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Officer Swadener made contact and arrested a 40-year old male for battery. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. The brandishing was unfounded.

4:20 AM: Officers responded to a disturbance in the 6000 block of Jennifer Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact and arrested a 51-year old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
10:12 AM: Officers responded to a report of a subject causing a disturbance and exposing herself. Upon arrival, officers made contact and arrested a 24 year old female out of Newark. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
6:29 PM:  Officers responded to a report of a battery that has just occurred in the 37000 block of Eureka Drive. Officers made contact and arrested a 56 year old male out of Stockton for battery causing serious bodily injuries. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

9:30 PM: Officer Herrera responded to a report of suspicious vehicle in the area of Filbert Street and Carter Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle, made contact and arrested a 22 year old male out of Lancaster for an outstanding warrant. He was issued a citation and released on scene.

7:23AM: Officer Jackman investigated a theft of a vehicle in the 8000 block of Central Avenue. The vehicle was recovered near-by.
12:45 PM: Officer Rivera investigated an overnight theft of a vehicle in the 700 block of Morton Avenue.
8:06 AM:  Officer Pacheco investigated a burglary in the 39000 block of Mowry School Road. No loss at this time.
9:57 AM: Officer Rivera investigated an overnight theft to a vehicle in the 35000 block of Dumbarton Court. Total loss was tools.

1:24 PM: Officer Pacheco investigated a theft of a vehicle in the 5000 block of Mailani Avenue.

4:41 AM:  Officer Sanchez and Officer Herrera made contact and arrested a 24 year old female in the area of Sycamore Street and Thornton Avenue for brandishing a weapon at officers. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
8:22 PM: Officer Adami initiated a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Boyce Road and Stevenson Boulevard. Officer Adami made contact and arrested a 28 year old female out of Hayward for an outstanding warrant and displaying false plates on vehicle. She was booked at Sants Rita Jail.

6:32 PM: Officer Soto responded to a report of a subject brandishing a knife in the 36000 block of Cherry St. Officer Soto arrested a 24-year old male out of Newark for exhibiting a weapon other (not a firearm). He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

9:09 AM: Officers investigated multiple burglaries to vehicles all within the City. Toal loss was tools, iPhone, and a laptop.
9:44 AM:  Officers investigated multiple overnight thefts of vehicles in the north end of the city.
9:48 AM: Officer Rivas investigated an overnight theft of a catalytic converter in the 37000 block of Magnolia Street.
2:24 PM:  Officer Adami investigated a theft of catalytic converter in the 6000 block of Clark Avenue. 
5:19 PM: Officer Rivas made contact and arrested a 39-year old male out of Fremont for multiple outstanding warrants. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
11:11 PM: Officer Swadener initiated a traffic enforcement stop in the 2000 block of Newpark Mall Road. Officer Swadener made contact and arrested a 39 year old male out of Antioch for reckless driving. The vehicle was towed and placed on a 30-day hold. He was issued a citation and released on scene.

2:49 AM: Officer Herrera responded to a report of a disturbance in the 35000 block of Newark Boulevard. Officers made contact and arrested a 20 year old male out of Newark for too inebriated to care for himself or others. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
4:15 AM: Officer Soto responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 35000 block of Dijon Pl described as a subject looking into vehicles and pulling door handles. Officer Soto made contact and arrested a 21-year old male out of South San Francisco for being too inebriated to care for himself or others. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. 
3:53 PM: Officer Kapu investigated an overnight auto burglary in the 8000 block of Gateway Boulevard. Loss is miscellaneous items.

12:02 AM: Officer Herrera made contact and arrested a 41-year old female for multiple outstanding warrants. While detained, the subject began to kick officers and spit in an officer’s face. Charges were updated to include resisting arrest and battery on an officer. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.  
7:09 AM: Officer Pacheco investigated an overnight theft of a vehicle in the 36000 block of Birch Street.
8:02 AM: Officer Adami investigated an overnight theft of a catalytic converter in the 6000 block of Tourraine Drive.
8:08 AM: Officer Rivera investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 1000 block of Newpark Mall Road. Loss was a backpack and wallet.  
11:04 AM: Officer Torres investigated a theft of a vehicle in the 8000 block of Mowry Avenue.
1:12 PM: Officer Torres investigated a theft in the 5000 block of Thornton Avenue. Total loss is miscellaneous items. Investigation is ongoing.

3:33 AM: Officer Riddles made contact and arrested a 36 year old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. He was issued a citation and released on scene.
9:42 AM: Officers responded to a report of an in-progress commercial burglary occurring in the 39000 block of Balentine Dr. Officers arrived on scene and cleared the building. The subject was located hiding on the roof. Officers successfully de-escalated the situation and the subject climbed down. While taking the subject into custody, the subject began to kick officers and spit on an officer. The subject was ultimately arrested for burglary, resisting arrest and battery on a peace officer. The subject was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

6:57 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated multiple burglaries to vehicles in the south end of the city. Loss is unknown at this time.
9:12 PM: Officer Soto investigated a cold burglary in the 5000 block of San Antonio Way. Loss was a laptop.
11:31 PM: Officers responded to a report of a solo vehicle collision in the area of Balentine Dr and Mowry School Dr. Upon arrival officers located a solo occupant trapped inside the vehicle. Members of the Alameda County Fire Department also responded and extricated the subject, a 27-year old male out of Newark, from the vehicle. The subject was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor. Incident is still under investigation.

12:43 AM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated a cold burglary in the 5000 block of Saint Matthew Drive. Total loss was cash, jewelry, and personal documents.

3:47 AM: Officers responded to a report of a collision in the area of Thornton Ave and Laurel St. Upon arrival, officers made contact and arrested a 22-year old male out of Newark for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
8:55 AM: Officers responded to a report of a theft in the 6100 block of Mayhews Landing Rd. The suspect fled prior upon officer arrival and was ultimately located hiding on the roof. After brief negotiations, the subject elected to come down from the rooftop and was taken into custody. The subject, a 41-year old male, was ultimately arrested for obstructing a peace officer, theft of personal property, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
9:53 PM: Officer Swadener responded to the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd to investigate a report of an assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm). Officer Swadener made contact and arrested a 58-year old male out of Hayward for assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

7:34 AM: Officers investigated a report of a battery in the 36000 block of Sycamore St. Officers accepted a citizen’s arrest of a 59-year old male out of Newark for battery. He was cited and released.

12:46 PM: Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 5000 block of Central Avenue. Upon arrival, Officer McCuin made contact and arrested a 21 year old male out of Newark for outstanding warrants and being too inebriated to care for himself or others. While in custody, the subject began thrashing about and kicking officers. The subject’s arrest charges were updated to include resisting arrest. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

5:02 PM: Officers responded to a physical altercation in the area of Newark Boulevard and Lafayette Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 53 year old female for battery on a person. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
8:21 PM: Officer Rivas investigated multiple burglaries to vehicles that occurred in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave.
11:11 PM: Officers investigated a report of vandalism in the 36000 block of Cherry St.

1:14 AM: Officer Swadener responded to a report of a battery in the 35000 block of Cleremont Dr. Officers made contact and accepted a citizen’s arrest of a 28-year old female out of San Jose for battery. She was cited and released.
9:23 AM: Officer Jackman investigated a theft of a vehicle that occurred overnight in the 36000 block of Worthing Dr.
12:31 PM: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 6000 block of Jarvis Ave. Upon arrival, the subject, a 41-year old male out of Newark, ignored officer’s commands and attempted to leave and entered ongoing traffic. The subject was ultimately arrested for probation violation and resisting arrest. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
4:21 PM: Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle in the 35000 block of Newark Blvd. Officers made contact and arrested a 38-year old male out of Stockton. While in custody the subject provided a false name to officers. The subject was ultimately arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle, giving false identification to a police officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
