Advisory

Winter Weather Advisory until 12:00AM Sunday

* WHAT...For Saturday's Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. For Sunday and Monday's Winter Storm Watch, heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 24 inches possible.

* WHERE...Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, from 11 AM to 11 PM PDT Saturday. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Sunday night through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS...Saturday travel could be very difficult to impossible. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The Sunday and Monday system will be fairly slow moving with snow accumulations possibly extending into Tuesday. For this time of year the amount of snowfall is considerable and can produce greater impacts than what the potential snow amounts suggest as people are still preparing for winter.
