On Friday Novemver 04, 2022 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Harper Woods Police Officers arrested (3) juveniles for stealing or attempting to steal vehicles. One incident occurred in the 19600 block of Elkhart and the other in the 19100 block of Woodmont. Both vehicles targeted were Hyudai makes. Two of the juveniles were arrested together for the Elkhart incident. The juvenile arrested for the Wodmont incident was with at least two additional suspects. All three juveniles are being referred to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office Juvenile Division for prosecution.
Kia and Hyundai vehicles continue to be targeted throughout Metro Detroit. Anti-Theft devices such as "The Club" are recommended. Such devices may be purchased for less than $50.00.
