Major injury DUI collision at Alvin and Blosser

This is an update to the traffic collision that occurred on Sunday November 6th, at approximately 8 p.m at the intersection of Alvin and Blosser.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered there were three children in the victim's vehicle. Two of the children, ages 10 and 2, were transported to Marian Hospital for medical treatment, however, they succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced as deceased.
The suspect was identified as Hector Romero Escobar (30 year-old resident of Santa Maria). He was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail for 187(a)PC - Murder: Non-negligent Manslaughter, and Felony Driving Under the Influence.
