A man was arrested after committing a home invasion on October 28, 2022. Officers responded to the Clayton Mill Run Apartment Complex after receiving a 9-1-1 call just after 2:00 AM.

Investigating officers learned that a male had forced entry into an apartment and confronted the resident with a handgun. The resident was asleep when the intruder entered the dwelling. The suspect fled prior to the arrival of officers.

The Absecon Criminal Investigations Division identified the accused male as Douglas DeBerry, 24, of Atlantic City. With assistance from the Atlantic City Police Department, DeBerry was arrested on November 6, 2022.

Douglas D. DeBerry, 24, Atlantic City, NJ was charged with the following offenses:

1st Degree Armed Robbery, Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Criminal Mischief, and Theft.

DeBerry was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
