Subject: Two Car personal injury crash in Cass County MI
 
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that his Deputies were dispatched to a personal injury crash on November 9,2022 at 06:38am.   The crash happened in the intersection of Cassopolis Road and Redfield Street in Mason Township, Cass County Michigan.  A semi driven by 51-year-old Robert Cullens of Elkhart IN and a passenger car driven by 66-year-old Devan Mikel of Edwardsburg MI collided with each other at the intersection of Cassopolis Rd and Redfield St.  Mikel and a witness at the scene, stated that the semi was traveling south on Cassopolis and failed to yield at the intersection crashing into Mikel who was traveling east on Redfield St.  Cullens Received no injuries at the time of the crash, and Mikel was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for his injuries.  Assisting at the scene was Porter Fire, Edwardsburg Ambulance, and the Michigan State Police.
