Bergen County
Weather Information Bulletin

November 9, 2022 @ 5:00 PM
COUNTYWIDE:

The Township is monitoring Tropical Storm Nicole. The remnants of Post Tropical Depression
Nicole will affect our area beginning on Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. The heaviest rain is expected to be late Friday night into early Saturday morning. Average rainfall totals are expected to be 1 to 2 inches for the entire event. Up to 2 to 3 inches of rainfall is possible, depending on where the heaviest rain bands setup. Isolated thunderstorms are possible.

The heaviest rain bands from these

thunderstorms can cause flash flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas. This will exacerbated by all of the leaves currently on the ground and the potential clogging of catch basins.

Tidal flooding is not
a concern at this time.

Winds will be 15-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. The winds may cause down tree limbs, resulting in power outages. We have been in contact with our power representatives at PSE&G. They will
be on standby.

This situation is currently evolving and the forecast may change as the Tropical Storm makes landfall and combines with another frontal system.

We will continue to monitor this situation and issue updates as necessary.
