Weather Update #3: Tropical Storm Nicole
The Jekyll Island Authority is actively monitoring Tropical Storm Nicole and is in close communication with the Glynn County EMA, NWS Jacksonville, GEMA, and the Governor's Office to assess any impact to the island. Conditions are continuing to be monitored and additional updates will be communicated.
NEW CLOSURES
- Clam Creek Road and Pier are now closed.
- Skimmer Lane & the DNR Boat Ramp are now closed.
- All beach crossovers are closed to the public at this time and should not be accessed due to safety concerns and damage.
There is currently a large power outage affecting several areas along Beachview Drive. Georgia Power is actively assessing these outages. Power outages can be reported & monitored on Georgia Power's outage map: https://customerservice2.southerncompany.com/Outages/Report/Location?mnuOpco=GPC
The Jekyll Island Causeway and Sidney Lanier Bridge remain open currently but will continue to be monitored for any wind or flooding risks should conditions change.

- Jekyll Island Tennis Center
- Jekyll Island Bikes & Mini Golf
- Jekyll Island Historic Trolley Tours, Cottages & Faith Chapel (Mosaic, Jekyll Island Museum is open)
Glynn County Schools remain closed Thursday, November 10.
As a reminder, the area is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning and Tornado Watch. There is a potential for surge flooding/heavy rainfall, tropical-storm-force winds, and isolated tornado threats Thursday through Friday evening.
