UPDATE- Missing Girls Located

UPDATE - Both Deysi and Tomiko have been located in the City of Albany. They’re safe, in good health and will be reunited with their families. Thank you to everyone who helped share this information and assisted in their safe return. 

Original Message:

Albany Police are attempting to locate two missing girls who were last seen Wednesday around 5:00 p.m. on Livingston Avenue near North Lake Avenue. Both girls left an after school program together Wednesday  and have not returned home or been seen since.

Deysi  Rivero, age 12 of Albany is described as a Hispanic female, 5’3”, 145 lbs with brown eyes and black hair with a purple streak. She was last seen wearing black sweatpants, black Vans sneakers, a light colored zip-up with designs on it and black shirt underneath. She was also carrying a pink colored backpack. 

Tomiko Akbar, age 11 of Albany, is described as a black female, 4’11”, 85 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing gray sweatpants that say “Army” up the leg and a pink sweatshirt with a dark colored backpack.
