Crime Alert Bulletin Covering the Week of October 31-November 6, 2022

When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.

Robberies

There were two robberies during the past week.

On Friday, 11-04-22, at approximately 6:02 p.m., at the 1000 block of Brunswick Street, a 47-year-old male from Daly City forcefully took a victim’s purse.  He was later located, taken into custody, arrested, and booked into jail for robbery and other offenses.

On Saturday, 11-05-22, at approximately 4:32 p.m., Officer Carman and Officer Shiu were dispatched to a convenience store on the 400 block of Gellert Boulevard on a report of an alarm. Two employees of a company were making a delivery to the convenience store. While one of the employees was inside the delivery truck in the parking lot, he heard someone from behind him. He noticed a suspect removing totes and passing them to another suspect standing outside of the truck. The suspect in the truck was described as a male that’s 6 feet tall and wearing a black hooded jacket, face mask, blue jeans, and white shoes. The suspect standing outside the truck was described as a Black male, 6’3” tall, and wearing a bright red sweatshirt. The scared employee got out of the truck, entered the convenience store, and watched the suspects load totes into a newer model blue Infiniti QX80 SUV. The company making the delivery had approximately $10,000 worth of tobacco products held in the totes stolen.

Nextdoor.com

Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try!  www.nextdoor.com
