Weather Update #5: Tropical Storm Nicole
Severe weather conditions on Jekyll Island have subsided and conditions are anticipated to be pleasant through the weekend.
All roads, the Clam Creek Fishing Pier, and DNR Boat Ramp are now open.
The bike path across from Circle K, entering the maritime forest, is temporarily closed due to standing water from tidal flooding. All other bike paths are now open.
The following beach crossovers have sustained severe damage and remain closed to the public until further notice.
- Bliss, Stewart, Austin, Oceanview Beach Park, South Dunes Picnic Area, and Glory Beach.
In observance of Veteran's Day, Jekyll Island Authority administrative offices are closed today, Friday, November 11, as scheduled.
All other Jekyll Island Authority amenity facilities are open. The Jekyll Island Golf Club and Tennis Center may have reduced course and court play. Please contact these facilities directly with questions.
Waste Management will resume trash, recycling, and storm/yard debris pickup on its regular schedule.
Most businesses will resume normal operations today but please contact businesses directly for hours of operation.
