Police Seek the Public’s Help Locating Missing 92-Year-old Newark Man with Alzheimer’s

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé seeks the public’s help in locating Maximo Gutierrez, 92, of Newark, who was reported missing today, Friday, November 11, 2022.

Mr. Gutierrez, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was reported missing from the Court Street near Broad Street. He was last seen at around 8:50 a.m. walking westbound on Court Street towards Nevada Street.

Mr. Gutierrez is described as 5’4” tall and 147 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black American flag cap, black coat, blue jeans and white sneakers. He also walks with a brown cane.

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Maximo Gutierrez to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
