Tropical Storm Nicole is currently affecting our region. The storm is forecasted to subside by 7:00 am Saturday morning.
This weather could result in local flooding, and power outages due to fallen trees, and damage to power lines.
Power outages could occur from damage to the electric infrastructure.
Please remain mindful that all downed wires should be avoided, and treated as live. Downed power lines are readily capable of causing death by electrocution. Do not move or drive around barricades. These are in place to keep you safe.
Please be prepared, be cautious, and remain safe.
If your electricity goes out, please report the outage directly to Con Edison at 1-800-75CONED.
If you observe other emergencies, such as power lines down, trees in the roadway, please report these to the North Castle Police Department at (914) 273-9500 or in an emergency by calling 911.
