Deputies Locate Two Loaded Firearms During a Traffic Stop in Needles
DATE/TIME: Saturday, November 5, 2022, at approximately 2:26 a.m.
INCIDENT: PC 25850(A)- Carrying a Loaded Firearm
LOCATION: 2000 block of Needles Highway, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Juan Sesma, 20-year-old Resident of Phoenix, AZ
Angel Aragon, 27-years-old Resident of Phoenix, AZ
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Saturday, November 5, 2022, at approximately 2:26 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the 2000 block of Needles Highway, for vehicle code violations.
During the traffic stop, deputies contacted the driver, Juan Sesma, front passenger, Angel Aragon, and an unknown male in the rear seat. Deputies detained Sesma and Aragon, however the unknown male subject fled on foot. During a search of the vehicle, deputies located two loaded firearms.
Juan Sesma and Angel Aragon were arrested for PC 25850(A)- Carrying a Loaded Firearm, and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Sesma and Aragon were later issued a citation and released from custody, with a future court date.
