Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on gun and drug charges.

On November 10 at approximately 12:22 p.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit were in the 1500 block of West 4^th Street when they observed 31-year-old Laandrea Gibson acting in a suspicious manner.  Police made contact with Gibson, and following a brief investigation, recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, 1 gram of cocaine, 26.3 grams of marijuana, and 4 Alprazolam pills.  Gibson was taken into custody without incident and found to have an active capias out for his arrest.

Gibson was charged with the following offenses in addition to his active capias:

• Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
• Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
• Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Possession of Marijuana
