UPDATE: Shooting at Local Business Results in One Person Arrested and One Person Injured

On November 13, 2022, at approximately 5:55 p.m., Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety (RPDPS) responded to a call of a shooting with injuries that had just occurred at Sourdough & Co., located at 6356 Commerce Boulevard in Rohnert Park. As RPDPS Public Safety Officers arrived in the area, they quickly detained the suspect a short distance from the scene as she was fleeing on foot. Police, fire, and medical personnel at the scene tended to the victim, who was transported to an area hospital with injuries.
At this time, RPDPS Detectives are processing the crime scene and continuing their investigation. The following is what is known currently:
- The suspect has been identified as Jade Cutrer, a 19-year-old female resident of Santa Rosa, California and employee of Sourdough & Co., located at 6356 Commerce Boulevard. Jade Cutrer is in custody and being interviewed. Charges related to this incident will be determined based on the investigation.
- The victim has been identified as a 16-year-old female resident of Rohnert Park, California. The victim was transported to an area hospital with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound and is being treated for her injuries. No further information is available at this time.
- It is unknown if the suspect and victim know each other or the reason for the confrontation.
- The shooting occurred inside the business, and a gun was recovered at the scene.
UPDATE
The victim remains hospitalized in stable condition and is being treated for her injuries. The victim and suspect are known to each other, and this incident was not a random act of violence.
The suspect, Jade Cutrer, was arrested on one felony count of 664/187 PC – Attempt murder, one felony count of 29180(c) PC – Possession of a firearm without a serial number, and one felony count of 273a(a) PC – Child endangerment likely to cause great bodily injury. She was transported to the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility and is being held on a $1,000,000 bail.
