Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with a business burglary that occurred on Saturday, November 5, 2022.
 
At approximately 4:20 p.m., Police responded to Value Act Cleaners, located at 1299 McCarter Highway, on a call of a burglary. The suspect used an object to shatter a side door window, entered the establishment, and pried open two registers, stealing $400.00. The suspect then exited the business through the front door and walked northbound towards Gouverneur Street.
 
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect, described as having a light complexion with a thin mustache. He is approximately 5’10” tall, 150 pounds, and was wearing Nike Air Jordan sneakers.
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information on the identity of this suspect to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
