Wilmington Police arrest two men in connection with several burglaries: 
Wilmington Police have arrested two men in connection with several burglaries.
On November 14 at approximately 2:52 a.m., police were responding to a report of a burglary in the 200 block of West 9th Street. Officers made contact with 56-year-old Michael Brooks, who was identified as a suspect and was taken into custody without incident. Through the course of their investigation, police identified Brooks as a suspect in connection with several other burglaries that took place in the 900 block of North Market Street and the 200 block of West 4th Street.
Detectives also identified 28-year-old Aaron Shelton as a suspect in connection with several incidents, and warrants were obtained for his arrest. He was taken into custody on November 15 by officers, who observed him attempting to gain entry to a building in the 200 block of West 9th Street.
Brooks was charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding warrant:
- Wearing a Disguise during the Commission of a Felony
- Burglary (3rd Degree) – 5 counts
- Possession of Burglary Tools – 2 counts
- Theft Over $1,500
- Theft Under $1,500 – 4 counts
- Criminal Mischief $1,000 but less than $5,000 – 2 counts
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – 2 counts
- Attempted Theft Under $1,500
Shelton was charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (3rd Degree) – 3 counts
- Theft Over $1,500 – 2 counts
- Theft Under $1,500
- Criminal Trespass (2nd Degree)
