On November 15, 2022, at about 5:33 PM, the Simi Valley Police Department responded to a reported vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in the 2300 block of Alamo. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a late model Ford F150 Pickup collided with a pedestrian crossing the street, resulting in the death of the pedestrian. The collision investigation caused the closure of Alamo St between Wanda Ave and Jasmine Glenn Ave for a number of hours. As of the writing of this release, the investigation is currently active.
The pedestrian was a 70-year-old Simi Valley resident. His identification is currently being withheld pending notification of family. The driver of the pickup was not injured, and there were no signs of impairment.
