SMPD Conducting Major Crash Investigation in Target Lot 
On Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 12:03pm, we received a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash at Target, located at 2220 Fashion Island Blvd. As information came in, it was determined we had multiple victims and at least 3 vehicles involved. Upon arrival, officers discovered a major collision scene at the north end of the lot. Three people were transported to a local trauma center for treatment of their injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and officers from our Traffic Unit are currently processing the scene and will be for the next several hours. The west entrance/driveway to Bridgepointe Shopping Center is currently closed and will remain so until officers clear the scene. Please avoid this area until later this evening.
