Rialto Police Department Receives Funding for Motorcycle Safety Training Program

Rialto, Calif. — The Rialto Police Department received grant funding from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to step up motorcycle safety awareness with free, hands-on rider trainings led by local law enforcement.
The $31,000 grant will pay for a series of free motorcycle safety classes that allows riders to practice braking, turning, steering, entering traffic and other skills that help avoid crashes and improve rider safety on the road.
“The Ride to Live program is part of our continual effort to increase the skill levels of motorcyclists and create safer roads for drivers, passengers, bicyclists, and pedestrians. This program allows our officers an additional opportunity to positively impact the community.” said Chief Mark P. Kling.
The motorcycle training program will run through September 2023. Classes will be available starting March, 2022. To register for a free training class, visit https://rialtopolice.com/ride-to-live/
