San Diego Resident Arrested for Weapons Charges During Traffic Stop in Loma Linda

LOCATION: Redlands Boulevard and Richardson Street, Loma Linda
SUSPECT(S): Alfredo Castro, 18-year-old Resident of San Diego
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On November 14, 2022, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Deputy R. Legere from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department’s Central Station conducted a traffic stop in the area of Redlands Boulevard and Richardson Street, in Loma Linda.
Legere contacted the driver of the vehicle, identified him as Alfredo Castro, and determined Castro did not have a valid California driver’s license. During a search of his person, Legere located a loaded firearm with a high-capacity magazine in his jacket pocket.
Castro was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle and possession of a high-capacity magazine. He was booked into the Central Detention Center and is being held on $25,000 bail.
