Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult. The incident was reported on Friday, November 18, 2022, at approximately 11:21 p.m., on the 1000 block of South Gerhart Avenue in Commerce (correction: previously reported as East Los Angeles).
East Los Angeles Station deputies responded to the 1000 block of South Gerhart Avenue in Commerce regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. When they arrived, they discovered two victims with apparent gunshot wounds to their upper torso. The victims were transported to the local hospital.
A male Hispanic adult was pronounced dead. A female Hispanic adult remains in critical condition.
