Advisory

Changes to Borough services and garbage due to upcoming New Year’s Holiday.

Due to the upcoming New Year’s Holiday, there will be changes in many Borough services. Please be advised of the following changes.
 
Garbage & Recycling – Due to the Holiday, there will be no garbage collection on Monday, January 2, 2023, The entire town will be collected on Tuesday, January 3rd.
 
Parking – Alternate Side of the Street Parking rules will be suspended on Monday, January 2nd. Overnight Parking rules will remain in effect. 
 
Transportation – The Senior Bus and Medical Transport will be suspended on Monday, January 2nd. Services will resume on Tuesday, January 3rd.
 
Road Closures – There are no planned road closures at this time.
 
Borough Hall – The Borough Hall will be closed on Monday January 2nd and will reopen Tuesday, January 3rd. Hours for Borough Hall are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays.  Those visiting Borough Hall will have their temperature checked upon entering the building and masks are optional but encouraged.  Employees interacting with visitors will follow current CDC guidelines for masking.
 
Municipal Court – Court sessions continue to be held virtually only, there are NO in person court sessions.  The court offices are open to assist those who have business with the court.  The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The office will be closed during court sessions in order to enable the staff the ability to assist those scheduled. However, the office will be closed on Monday, January 2nd in observance of the holiday and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd.
 
Library -- The William E. Dermody Free Public Library will be closed on Monday, January 2nd and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd. Hours for the Library are 10am to 8pm, Monday through Thursday; 10 am to 5 pm on Fridays; and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. Masks are optional.
 

 
Testing Center – The COVID-19 Testing Center and Vaccine Clinic at Sun Chemical will be CLOSED on  Sunday, January 1st .
