Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Armed Robbery Suspects and Vehicle
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with locating three male suspects and the vehicle they used that is pictured below to rob a victim at gunpoint on November 7, 2022.
Police responded to a robbery that occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. in the 100 block of Mt. Prospect Avenue. The victim was walking when the suspects exited the vehicle, a 1996 grey Oldsmobile bearing New Jersey license plate S13-JZV. They approached him from behind and one of them pulled out a handgun demanding his personal belongings. The other two suspects rifled through his pockets, taking $90 and a cell phone.
The suspects fled in the vehicle, which was driven by a fourth suspect.
