Wilmington Police arrest man in connection with burglary:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a burglary.
On November 7, police were dispatched to the 1300 block of North King Street in reference to a burglary that had taken place. Through the course of an investigation, police identified 30-year-old Zymere Brown as a suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest.
On November 18 at approximately 10 p.m., a police officer on patrol located Brown in the 3400 block of North Market Street and took him into custody without incident. He was found to be in possession with a loaded .40-caliber handgun, burglary tools and a small amount of marijuana.
Brown has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited – Three Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Burglary (Third Degree)
- Theft Under $1,500
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
- Possession of Burglar Tools
- Breach of Release
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $67,600 cash-only bail.
