The Gloucester Township Police Department would like to remind you that PREVENTION IS KEY. There are many tips on how to prevent car burglaries. A vast majority of car burglaries happen to unlocked vehicles; therefore, GTPD would like to remind residents to lock your vehicle doors and close the windows.

• ALWAYS lock all doors and close windows.
• REMOVE any valuable items in your vehicle. Items and currency that are left in the vehicle should be kept out of sight.
• Park in a well-lit area during evening hours. If you park in a garage make sure it is locked.
• Set an alarm or use anti-theft devices.
• Call the Gloucester Township Police Department if you see any suspicious and/or criminal activity in the area. Residents can contact our 24 Hour Telecommunications Center (Dispatch) at 856-228-4500 or simply call 9-1-1.
