* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Higher amounts near 6 inches likely across far southern and western portions of the county. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE...Quay County.
* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 11 PM MST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. This includes along portions of I-40, especially from Tucumcari westward.
