Gloucester Township Police Media Release- Thanksgiving Day Early Morning Serious Motor Vehicle Crash
On November 24, 2022 at approximately 2:56 AM, the Gloucester Township Police Department received several reports of a motor vehicle crash in the Camden County Lakeland Complex. Arriving officers located a sedan and box truck fully involved in a parking lot located near the intersection of Woodbury Turnersville Road and Lakeland Road. The vehicle was not occupied.
Officers began to check the area and located the adult female driver in an adjacent pond with what appeared to be serious injuries. Officers safely pulled the driver out of the water and she was immediately treated by EMS and Medics. She was then transported to Cooper Hospital for her injuries.
Initial investigation determined that the driver exited the vehicle on her own and headed to the adjacent pond possibly due to the vehicle catching fire.
The crash is being investigated by the Gloucester Township Serious Crash Investigation Team. The name of the driver is being withheld at this time.
