Police Seek the Public's Assistance Identifying a Suspect in Auto Burglary
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a auto burglary that occurred on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
Surveillance video captured a suspect entering an unlocked vehicle and removing a cell phone and approximately $250.00 from s vehicle parked in the 100 block of North 11th Street. The suspect fled on foot walking southbound on North 11th Street toward 6th Avenue.
The suspect is male with a medium brown complexion and dark hair. He was wearing a dark colored jacket and light colored shirt under the jacket.
Public Safety Director Fragé urges anyone with information about this individual to call the Newark Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
