DECEDENT: Francisco Fraga-Menendez, 67-years-old, Resident of Yucaipa
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, November 24, 2022, at 11:20 a.m., inmate Francisco Fraga-Menendez was pronounced deceased after spending several months in the jail ward at the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Fraga-Menendez had serious medical issues and was receiving treatment at the hospital.
On June 3, 2022, Fraga-Menendez was arrested by the Yucaipa Police Department for attempted murder and taken into custody. The victim in his case later died and Fraga-Menendez’s charges were amended to murder. He had been booked at the West Valley Detention Center on $1,000,000 bail.
