Police Seek the Public’s Help in Identifying Armed Business Robbery Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with an armed business robbery that occurred on Friday, November 25, 2022.
Police responded to a call of a robbery at Global Check Cashing, located at 130 Bloomfield Avenue. The suspect pointed a handgun at two workers and removed approximately $10,000.00 from the business before fleeing the scene. He was last seen heading northbound on Garside Avenue riding on a silver/purple colored mountain bike.
The suspect is described as possibly Hispanic, 5'8" tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black jacket, face mask, green pants, and black sneakers.
