At approximately 5:08 a.m., Beaufort County Communications Center received a report of a vehicle that was shot at while traveling on Burnt Church Road. 

When emergency services arrived in the area, a vehicle was found on Ann Smith Drive with damage from gunfire.  Three victims were inside the car with gunshot wounds.   

Two victims were treated by emergency services and transported to Savannah Memorial Hospital.

The third victim left the scene as emergency services were rendering aid.  Deputies believe that he may have an injury or gunshot wound to one of his legs.

Expect an increased law enforcement presence in the areas of Burnt Church Road and Ann Smith Drive while investigators collect evidence.  Motorists should use caution.
