Be advised, the downtown Los Altos triangle of Main, State and portions of First Streets will shut down today, Sunday, 11/27/22 beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Any vehicles parked in these areas from 4:00 p.m. and after are subject to tow. If your vehicle is towed, walk to the Los Altos Police Department located at 1 N. San Antonio Road. The police department is located in the back of the Civic Center parking lot. If you have any questions, the non-emergency number is (650) 947-2770. 

The Festival of Lights Parade is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and will conclude at approximately 8:00 p.m. Once the parade area is cleaned and cleared of spectators, the downtown streets will be re-opened by the Los Altos Police Department at approximately 11:00 p.m.

It is perfect weather for a parade! Come out and see our new Police Chief Angela Averiett leading the parade! The Chief has been practicing her wave, so be sure to wave back and cheer her on.
