Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with a shots fired incident.

On November 25 at approximately 2:19 a.m., police responded to the area of 7^th and Spruce Streets following a report of shots being fired.  Following a brief investigation, police were able to determine that 62-year-old Joe Haynes discharged a firearm inside of a residence in the 700 block of East 7^th Street.  Police took Haynes into custody without incident and recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun.

Haynes was charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony
• Reckless Endangering (1^st Degree)
