Traffic Stop for Vehicle Code Violation Ends in Arrest for Narcotics Possession

INCIDENT: HS 11377(A): POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, WARRANT
LOCATION: Old Woman Springs Rd./ State Highway 18, Lucerne Valley
SUSPECT: Scott Reynolds, 58 years-old, resident of Lucerne Valley
SUMMARY: On Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 1:04 p.m., Deputy L. Marks stopped a vehicle for pulling a trailer with no license plates. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Scott Reynolds, pulled over into the parking lot of Café 245 in Lucerne Valley.
Reynolds was driving without a driver’s license and had an active warrant for his arrest. He was also found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Scott Reynolds was arrested without incident and booked at high Desert Detention Center. He was later released and is due to appear in court on February 9, 2023.
