IMPD Homicide Detectives Search for Wanted Person in Connection with June 2021 Double Homicide.

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating 33-year-old Lamar Ball wanted for his alleged role in the double homicide of 23-year-old Justice Wills and 20-year-old Eric Colvin.

On June 28, 2021, IMPD officers responded to 9800 Woodsmall Drive for a personal injury crash.  Officers located Justice Wills and Eric Colvin inside the vehicle with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.  Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services responded and pronounced both men deceased at the scene.

IMPD Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist in identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner’s Office assisted and determined the exact manner and cause of death.
 
IMPD detectives continued their investigations and identified Lamar Ball as a suspect in the death of both men.  On October 12, 2022, IMPD Homicide detectives working with the Marion County Prosecutors Office were able to establish probable cause and were granted an arrest warrant for Lamar Ball.
 
IMPD is asking for anyone who knows the whereabouts of Lamar Ball to contact IMPD Homicide detectives or call 911.
