Wilmington Police have made an arrest in connection with an August shooting incident.
 
On August 12 at approximately 2:29 a.m., police were dispatched to the 900 block of Linden Street in reference to a shooting incident that had occurred. Police located a 16-year-old male gunshot victim, who was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
 
The case was assigned to Detective Joran Merced of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Merced identified a 16-year-old male as a suspect. Warrants were obtained, and the suspect was taken into custody on November 30 without incident.
 
The 16-year-old male has been charged with the following offenses:

• Assault (First Degree)
• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
• Reckless Endangering (Second Degree)
• Discharging a Firearm on a City Street
