On December 1st, 2022, at 4:31 PM, Amarillo Police officers were dispatched a shooting at an apartment in the 2800 Block of SW 28th Avenue. Officers located a 17-year-old male that had been shot. He was transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
APD patrol officers and Violent Crimes Detectives located witnesses and determined that there had been an attempted robbery that led to the shooting. Chase Hunt,17-year-old male, was identified as the suspect in the shooting. He was later located and booked into Potter County Detention Center for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Dylon Raymor,17-year-old male, was arrested for Tampering with Evidence, Failure to Report a Felony Causing Serious Bodily Injury, and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon. He was booked into the Randall County Jail. Cameron Hunter, 21-year-old male, was also arrested for Failure to Report a Felony Causing Serious Bodily Injury and booked into Randall County Jail. A juvenile suspect has also been charged in the incident.
