Employee at Grocery Store Threatens Co-Worker and is Arrested for Terrorist Threats

SUMMARY:
On Thursday, December 1, 2022, deputies from the Morongo Basin Station responded to a disturbance at a grocery store in the 57500 block of Twentynine Palms Highway. When deputies arrived, they learned a female employee was standing near the front of the store when the suspect walked past her and made threatening statements. The suspect, who is also an employee, was identified as Jaheum Allen. Allen was also observed by a witness standing outside the store, holding a knife.
Deputies located Allen inside the store and took him into custody. He was booked in at the Morongo Basin Jail and later transferred to the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. Allen remains in custody on $50,000 bail.
