The City of Asbury Park’s Mayor’s Wellness Committee will be hosting monthly Mayor’s Fitness Challenges through December. The free, one-hour fitness challenges will take place on the first Saturday of each month at various parks and open spaces throughout the City. The events will be formatted as a 50-minute class taught by local fitness instructors, followed by a 10-minute nutrition session with recipes and nutrition advice. Attendees can earn participation prizes and trainers will provide participants with a monthly calendar for at-home fitness activities. Each event will also include parallel youth programing through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Asbury Park. In addition, Hackensack Meridian Health will be hosting a mobile health screening van at several of the events. The rain location for all events is the Boys & Girls Club of Asbury Park located at 1201 Monroe Avenue in Asbury Park. Participants of all ages are welcome to join!
