1. Carjacking (1430) 1500 Block of South Airport Way, Park District
The male victim, 60, was in the listed area when three suspects approached him. One of the suspects brandished a firearm at the victim and took his vehicle. Officers located the car a short time later and took one suspect into custody after a short foot chase. OUTSTANDING SUSPECTS: Two Hispanic males in their mid-twenties. ARRESTED: Jose Perez, 30, for carjacking, possession of the stolen property, and resisting arrest.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1820) Harding Way and Center Street, Civic District
The male victim, 19, was driving southbound on Center St and heard two gunshots. He checked his vehicle and found a bullet hole on the right side of the rear door.
3. Robbery Arrest (0145) 500 Block of South California Street, Seaport District
The female victim, 45, was in a verbal argument with the suspect when she assaulted the victim and took her property. The victim was uninjured. The responding officers located the suspect and took her into custody without incident. ARRESTED: Rita Alvarez, 31, for robbery.
