Activity for December 2-4, 2022. Officers responded to 232 calls for service, made 9 arrests, and 61 traffic stops.

Activity for December 2-4, 2022:
December 2:

  • Officer Goings was dispatched to the 100 block of Orange Street for a domestic dispute. A 49-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Officer Davis responded to the 200 block of West Wesley Street for an assault report.
  • Officers visited multiple schools during the day.
  • Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Carlton Boulevard for a domestic dispute. An 11-year-old male was lodged at JCYC for domestic assault.
  • Officer Tripp made contact with a subject near West High Street and Greenwood Avenue. A 24-year-old female was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officers responded to the 1300 block of North West Avenue for a personal welfare check on a subject sleeping in a vehicle. A 38-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.
  • Officer Tripp conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Jackson Street and West High Street. A 28-year-old male was arrested for multiple conditional bond violations.
  • Officer Thoresen conducted a traffic stop at West High Street and Chittock Avenue. A 27-year-old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
  • Officers responded to the 2000 block of Leroy Street for a domestic situation. The 31-year-old male suspect left prior to officers’ arrival, but was quickly located in the area. The male was arrested for violation of a personal protection order.
December 3, 2022:
  • Officer Elston was dispatched to the 400 block of West Franklin Street for a breaking and entering report. Officer Elston located a subject inside the vacant residence. Charges will be sought on the 30-year-old male suspect for entering without permission.
  • Officers responded to a single vehicle accident at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and East Wilkins Street. The vehicle had crashed into a fence, and the driver fled on foot. Officers made contact with the registered owner, who advised her vehicle had been stolen. A 15-year-old male admitted to taking and crashing the vehicle. JCYC would not lodge the suspect. Charges will be sought on the male for unlawfully driving away an automobile.
  • Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Greenwood Avenue for a subject attempting to break into the building. A 37-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant; possession of narcotics; and resisting and obstructing.
December 4, 2022:
  • Officer Goings was dispatched to the 300 block of Steward Avenue for a personal protection order violation. The 52-year-old male suspect left the residence through a window to avoid being arrested. The suspect was located by Officer Elston at Fourth Street and West Franklin Street. The male was arrested for violation of a personal protection order.
  • Officer Elston responded to the 400 block of West Washington Avenue for an assault report.
  • Officers responded to the 1500 block of Pringle Avenue for several calls of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a dog that had been shot in the foot. The dog was taken to receive veterinary care. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Sergeant Burkart located a stolen vehicle in the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The vehicle was reported stolen out of JSO; deputies responded to the area and returned the vehicle to the registered owner.
