Wilmington Police arrest five men on drug charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested five men on drug charges.
On November 25 at approximately 6:43 p.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit were in the 800 block of West 8th Street when they observed a group of men engaged in drug activity. Police made contact with the men, 22-year-old Shamar Foster who was found to have outstanding capiases, 29-year-old Davherl Avant-Crosby, 25-year-old Kawon Spencer-Taylor, 37-year-old Tyrone Davis, and 28-year-old Daquan Kent. Following a brief investigation, police recovered 203 bags of heroin, 4.5 grams of cocaine, 23.5 grams of marijuana, 13 Oxycodone pills, 2 Xanax pills, and $2,614 in currency. All five subjects were taken into custody without incident.
Foster was charged with the Possession of a Controlled Substance in addition to his outstanding capiases.
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $200 secured bail.
Avant-Crosby was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Marijuana
Spencer-Taylor was charged with the following offenses:
- Breach of Release
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Marijuana
Davis was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on $200 unsecured bail.
Kent was charged with the following offenses:
- Breach of Release
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Marijuana
