Wilmington Police arrest two Maryland men on gun and weapons charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested two Maryland men on gun and weapons charges.
On November 30 at approximately 7:37 p.m., police responded to the 1100 block of Chestnut Street for a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival police attempted to make contact with 22-year-old Kaiza Queen, of Maryland, who fled on foot from police. Queen was quickly taken into custody without incident and police recovered a loaded .40 caliber handgun. Police also made contact with 35-year-old Kevin Johnson, also of Maryland. Police recovered a taser device. Johnson was taken into custody without incident.
Queen was charged with the following offenses:
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Resisting Arrest
Johnson was charged with Carrying a Concealed Deadly Instrument.
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $4,000 secured bail.
