Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Aggravated Assault Suspects

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the below-pictured suspects, who were captured on surveillance video assaulting two victims on November 24, 2022. 
 
The victims were attacked by the suspects at approximately 2 a.m. in the 50 block of Edison Place. Suspect # 1 punched the first victim in the face, causing him to lose a tooth.  Suspect # 1 and suspect # 2 punched and kicked the second victim, who lost consciousness. 
 
Suspect #1, a Black male, is about 5’10” inches tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a red sweatshirt with a hood, blue jeans, and red Nike sneakers. Suspect #2, a Black male, is about 6’1” inches tall and 250 pounds. He was wearing a pink sweatshirt with a hood, blue ripped jeans, and grey Air Jordan 11 sneakers. 
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspects and the vehicle to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695- 
8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
