Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Woman Wanted for Questioning in Home Invasion
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with locating Takirra Whitfield, a 30-year-old woman, who is wanted for questioning in a home invasion that occurred on October 16, 2022.
Police responded to a call about a burglary that occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the 40 block of Mountainview Avenue. The victim was assaulted by one of three male suspects, who were armed and wearing masks after she opened her apartment door. They rushed in and she was pistol-whipped and punched in the mouth.
Whitfield, described as 5-ft. tall, has brown eyes and black hair.
