The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito from December 2nd to December 4th, 2022.

 
December 2nd

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 1000 block of Havens Pl.
On November 25th, the victim located her stolen Mercedes in the City of Oakland and drove her vehicle home without notifying the police. The victim reported the vehicle stolen to Alameda County SO on November 16th.   The victim signed the necessary paperwork and the vehicle was removed from the system as stolen.

Grand Theft – 900 block of Galvin Dr.
The victim’s catalytic converter was stolen from their Toyota Prius.  The incident from November 30th to December 2nd.   

Trespass-  El Cerrito High School, 540 Ashbury Ave.
At 8:21 PM, an officer reports the arrest of a 14-year-old juvenile male after he snuck onto the school campus several times during the football game. The juvenile refused to leave after being asked several times. The juvenile was transported to the ECPD for booking and release to his Godmother.  
 
Petty Theft- Tigon, 10086 San Pablo Ave.
At 9:09 PM, an officer reports a 41-year-old female from Alamo was captured on security video removing an unknown amount of cash from the tip jar. Several employees followed the female to the El Cerrito Plaza BART station and flagged down a BART officer. The female was detained without incident and placed under Citizen’s Arrest. The female was positively identified and issued a citation in the field.
 
Felony Domestic Battery- 6500 Block of Portola Dr.
At 3:11 AM, an officer reports the victim and his 24-year-old wife  were consuming alcohol at their home when they began arguing over their relationship issues.  During the argument, the wife bit the victim on the back and finger several times. The wife was placed under arrest and transported to the ECPD for booking. After booking, the wife was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
