Police Seek the Public's Help in Identifying Package Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with the theft of two packages on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
At approximately 2:05 p.m., the suspect opened the gate of a residence in the 400 block of South 11th Street and stole two packages from the victim’s front porch. He placed the two packages inside one of many shopping bags he was carrying before fleeing by walking through the side alley of a neighbor’s residence.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying the suspect, described as a Black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and brown coat.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information on the identity of this suspect to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
