Incident Update: Dog biting incident on December 6, 2022
Today (12/6/22) at approximately 12:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area between the Central Park Dog Park and the Tri-City Animal Shelter for a report of a loose dog attacking people and other dogs. The dog was quickly controlled and taken to the Tri-City Animal Shelter. Preliminary investigation indicates that four dogs and one dog owner were bitten by the loose dog. The dog owner did not appear to have any serious injuries and was treated by Fremont Fire Paramedics at the scene. Sadly, one of the dogs died from its injuries. Fremont Police Department is handling the preliminary investigation and Animal Control will conduct a follow-up investigation regarding the dog bites.
